NAVAL WAR GAMES
Boys Scout Of America get a new Sonar system for playing world war 2 war games between replica battleships and submarines. These are remote controlled by RC controls.
Submarines try to sink battleships and battleships try to find submarines so they can sink them first. Who wins? I don't know but the boys scout battle ships have a new advantage, an RC sonar that tells them where and when the submarine is close. The system was designed and custom built by Mantasonar engineers.
Special Sonar for a University project in the UK
Mantasonar engineers design a custom sonar that connects to a GPS receiver and a lap top computer on an autonomous floating platform.
This platform is designed to criss-cross a pond, lake, etc, and with appropriate software program, it collects depth and accurate longitude - latitude location data. This is then converted to three dimensional profile map of the bottom under the water.
Research Sonar for autonomous submarine
Autonomous and remote controlled submarine has to know where it is going and what is in proximity to avoid blind collision.
Given the unique and special performance requirements of having multiple Sonar operating at the same time to cover the water in front, behind, and the sides all around, The sonar echoes can bounce around and interfere with each other. Mantasonar engineers designed a code scheme so the computer discriminates the echoes and eliminates potential confusion.
